Quick Tune and Lube/Brake Master

For 27 years, Rome's "first place to have a 10 minute oil change" has been serving drivers in the community with a fair deal on car service. And Russ Gates expects it will stay that way for as long as Quick Tune and Lube are in business. 

It's expanded but remains in the same spot at 2 Riverbend Drive. It's been victimized by Etowah River flooding. It's watched Riverbend Mall at its back close and Riverbend Center rise in its place.

But despite all that Quick Tune and Lube has grown over the years to a successful and thriving business, according to Gates, because of its commitment to quality and customer service when it comes to repairs and services on their vehicles. 

About the only service the 9 bay shop can't handle is putting on tires, alignments and exhaust systems. Everything else - from oil changes to replacing timing belts - Gates said his shop can handle.

"The main thing is to fix what the customer came in for and not oversell," Gates said. "We're not going to sell you anything you don't need."

Quick Tune and Lube specializes specifically in tune ups and computer diagnostics, but can reliably handle problems like brake repairs, timing belts, water pumps, axles and air conditioning systems. Gates said his shop is all about general repairs. 

And Gates employees have the experience to know what to do when a customer comes in to pop the hood. 

"Most of the guys I have with me have been with me for years," he said. "Two technicians in my shop have both been with me for more than 20 years."

Handling both imported and domestic vehicles, Quick Tune and Lube is one of the best places in town to handle most of your car troubles.
